My first blog post!

Gosh, it has taken me way too long to finally get a blog going. But I did! Now, what shall I talk about? I feel like I need to come up with something profound, but I am not sure I will ever say anything truly profound enough to warrant writing words that a hundred other people haven't come up with first. I feel like I need to come up with something witty, but am I really that funny? Probably not. If I was, I'd be onstage. I feel like I need to come up with a pithy saying, but "Bam!" and "Flavortown" and "Yum-O" are already taken by Emeril, Guy, and Rachael.

Somebody wise (somewhere) said, "Write about what you know best." Hmm. What am I best at? Inspiration. THAT'S what I am good at. The Universe all around us is inspirational, beautiful, and amazing, and my goal is to hopefully inspire people to look up, look around, and stop looking down at their shoes. I don't know about you, but my shoes aren't that interesting, and I suspect the Earth around us and the sky above us are SO much more interesting that our shoes are.

So - through this blog, I hope to give you some tips about how you can enjoy learning about space. Don't know anything about space? Never thought about it before? Don't worry. My goal is to get you thinking, wondering, and exploring. Hey, it's what we do every single day!
